ABOUT THE CAMP

Header 2.jpg

Camp CAACONAA (Come As A Child Or Not At All) is an overnight campout designed to give dads a unique opportunity to connect emotionally, physically, and spiritually with one of their kids. Dads are encouraged to shed their busyness and just be a kid for one night. To help encourage one-on-one connection, each dad is allowed to bring only one child (make sure to plan special time with your other kids at another outing).

Every moment you spend at Camp CAACONAA is packed full of activities for dads and kids. You'll join a camp tribe and get to know other dads and kids. But, the most important time at CAACONAA will be the time you spend alone with your child, creating lasting memories.

Friday night includes a big dinner, tribe pow wows, live entertainment, flashlight hike, and CAACONAA Theater. Saturday features a sunrise hike, breakfast, one-on-one time, TONS of games and activities, BBQ lunch, and the world famous WATER WAR!

Can I bring more than one child to Camp CAACONAA?

Camp CAACONAA is designed to be spent one-on-one, so we only allow one child per dad at Camp CAACONAA. We understand that multiple children households will have to make a tough decision. Our number one goal is one-on-one time and we suggest alternating who attends camps, or bringing along another father figure like an uncle, grandparent, or significant adult in your child's life if bringing both children is a high priority.

Can adults other than dads attend with a child?

Yes! We recognize that not all kids have fathers in their lives. But if there is a trusted father-figure who fills that relational gap, we welcome grandfathers, uncles, or close family role models to attend instead. Please contact us if you have any concerns.

Are there scholarships available?

Yes. Go to the contact page above and use the form to email us requesting a scholarship. We don't want money to be the reason you don't attend Camp CAACONAA. (use the form if we figure out who it goes to - otherwise please list rpk@rockypeak.org as the contact for scholarship requests and supplies.

Are there extra tents and supplies available?

Yes. If money or time to get your own supplies is an issue, go to the contact page above and use the form to request any supplies you might need. However, we only have a limited amount.

What kind of of facilities are there?

We have gendered restrooms with standard toilets and running water, but the camp takes place entirely outdoors.
